How is Hypnosis done?
1. You speak with a hypnosis professional one on one about your concerns, mostly what you want to work on. Keep in mind that Hypnosis is not Psycho-therapy and cannot be called it or considered it by a hypnosis professional unless they are a Certified Psychotherapist. If you feel you need one on one psycho therapy, then look up psychotherapy professionals.
2. After a 10-20 minute conversation, the hypnosis professional will speak to you about which exercises they want to have you practice in order to tailor your experience to your needs.
3. The hypnosis exercises involve ways to help you relax so that you can be placed in a meditative state. The reason you need to be in a meditative state, is to be relaxed enough to access your subconscious. Some people don't have a problem accessing theirs, but there are some people that do have that problems. Hypnosis professionals are trained to know how to identify what you need in order to get to that relaxation. It can be a state of mind, or body. There are so many reasons why any one person can have trouble getting to a state of relaxation. That's why anxiety is one of the main reasons people seek Hypnosis.
4. Once you are in a conscious meditative state, the hypnosis professional speaks to you while you relax and listen. It's a matter of just letting them train your subconscious into allowing the suggestions you both agreed could be made on your behalf.
5. When the session is done, the hypnosis professional will let you know that the session is over and that you can rent their chair if it's too hard to get out of it now. HAHA!
6. You can book your next appointment, and return for your next relaxation session.
Notes:
1. Hypnosis is not psychotherapy.
